Run it your way · Alerts & Reports

The right signal, in the inbox, before the meeting.

CloudMonitor checks your spend and security posture every hour and tells the people who own them — with alerts that fire once rather than every hour, and a scheduled report that sums up the whole estate.

01 What’s included

Alerts & Reports, in detail.

Budget and security alerts, scheduled email reports. Here is exactly what CloudMonitor does — and where its coverage stops today.

Alert rules plus budgets

Month-to-date spend over an amount, any open critical finding, or an access key older than 90 days — plus automatic alerts on every budget.

In the app and by email

Alerts land in the notification bell and in the inbox of the workspace owners and admins.

No alert storms

Budget rules fire at most once a month; the other rules at most once a day.

Scheduled reports

Daily, weekly or monthly emails with spend, forecast, waste, security grade, top findings, budgets and fleet health. New workspaces start with a daily report.

On-demand exports

Inventory, monthly cost, daily spend, findings, savings and IAM users as CSV.

Your own SMTP

Send through your own mail server, with a test button to check the settings first.

02 How it works

Three steps, no agents to install.

1

Pick what matters

Turn on spend, critical-finding and stale-key rules; budgets alert automatically.

2

Schedule the summary

Choose daily, weekly or monthly and add recipients.

3

Act on the signal

Each alert links back to the page that explains it.

Alerts that respect your attention

An alert that fires every hour is an alert that gets muted. CloudMonitor evaluates rules hourly but deliberately limits how often each one can notify: the spend rule at most once per calendar month, the critical-finding and stale-key rules at most once every 24 hours, and budgets once at their threshold and once at 100%.

What you can be alerted about

  • Monthly spend above an amount you choose.
  • Any open critical security finding — such as a database port open to the internet.
  • Stale access keys — any IAM access key older than 90 days.
  • Budgets — every budget alerts automatically, with no rule to set up.

Alerts appear in the in-app notification bell and are emailed to the workspace owners and admins. The alerts page keeps 90 days of history. Slack, Teams and webhook delivery are not available today.

Scheduled reports

Reports go out daily, weekly or monthly to any list of recipients, and every new workspace starts with a daily report to its owner. Each email summarises month-to-date and yesterday’s spend, the month-end forecast and daily burn, the waste figure, the security score and grade with the top five findings, budget status, fleet health patterns and the resource count — branded with your workspace name. A “send now” button is there for the meeting that starts in five minutes.

Exports and mail delivery

Inventory, monthly cost, daily spend, findings, savings and IAM users can all be exported as CSV on demand. Mail is sent through your workspace’s own SMTP server if you configure one, then the platform’s, so reports can come from your own domain — ideal alongside white-label workspaces.
