Stay secure · Risk-Adjusted Worklist

One list. Biggest wins first.

Cost recommendations and security findings usually live in different tools and different backlogs. CloudMonitor merges them into one ranked worklist, so the most valuable fix is always at the top.

01 What’s included

Risk-Adjusted Worklist, in detail.

Savings and security findings in one ranked list. Here is exactly what CloudMonitor does — and where its coverage stops today.

One priority scale

Savings score at twice their monthly dollar value; findings score by severity (critical 100, high 60, medium 30, low 10). Everything sorts on one axis.

Only actionable items

Every line links to its recommendation or finding with remediation steps. Advisory ideas without a hard saving stay out of the list.

Findings from every cloud

Security findings from AWS, Azure and Google Cloud sit next to AWS savings.

Ready for sprint planning

Export the worklist as CSV and drop it straight into your backlog.

02 How it works

Three steps, no agents to install.

1

Connect your clouds

Savings come from the AWS cost optimizer; findings from security checks on every cloud.

2

One ranked list

Both are scored on a common priority scale and merged.

3

Work top-down

Assign from the top of the list, re-sync, and watch it shrink.

Two backlogs, one team

The FinOps backlog and the security backlog compete for the same engineers, yet they usually live in different tools with different scoring systems. The result is predictable: whichever team shouts loudest wins the sprint. The risk-adjusted worklist puts both on one scale so the trade-off is explicit.

How items are scored

  • Savings from the AWS cost optimizer score at twice their estimated monthly saving in dollars: a $46-a-month gp3 migration scores 92.
  • Security findings from AWS, Azure and Google Cloud score by severity: critical 100, high 60, medium 30, low 10.

Both go into one list, sorted by score, with a link to the full recommendation or finding and its remediation steps. Advisory cost ideas without a hard saving are left out, so everything on the list is something you can finish.

Using it in planning

Export the list as CSV at the start of a sprint, take items from the top until the capacity is used up, and re-sync at the end: resolved findings drop off, fixed savings are booked as realized, and the next most valuable items move up. Weekly, this is a lightweight way to keep both the bill and the security score moving in the right direction.

03 FAQ

Risk-Adjusted Worklist
questions.

Something else? Talk to us — a person replies.

How are cost and security items ranked against each other?

Cost actions are scored at twice their estimated monthly saving in dollars. Security findings are scored by severity: critical 100, high 60, medium 30 and low 10. Both go into one list sorted by that score.

Why put savings and security in the same list?

Both compete for the same engineering time. A single ranked list makes the trade-off explicit, instead of each backlog being worked in isolation.

Which clouds feed the worklist?

Security findings come from AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Savings come from the AWS cost optimizer.
